September Meeting Notes & Supply List

The September meeting of the Central Mississippi Polymer Clay Guild will be on Saturday, September 17, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at the Pearl Library, Pearl, Mississippi. The theme for this meeting is "Why yes, these stones are real"!

We’ve had requests from several members to learn some faux stone techniques so for the September meeting we will be making Malachite, Lapis Lazuli and Tiger’s Eye.

When we are finished making the stones we will be working on creating a one-of-a-kind letter opener, 2 draw pulls and beads of different shapes. You can choose which stones to make your pulls, letter openers and beads out of.

See the supply list below. Please be sure to condition your clay BEFORE the meeting. Letter openers and pulls have already been purchased for you by the guild. We'll be happy to share the harder to find items like bronze mica powder. We'll also have samples of real stones so you can see just how well you've done!
