September 21, 2013

The September meeting of the Central Mississippi Polymer Clay Guild will be on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the Pearl Library, Pearl, Mississippi.  Shanda will be showing us how to make a kaleidoscope can using scraps and pieces left over from older projects.  If you do not have any scrap clay, bring 3-4 of any colors you find pleasing.  She will step us through the process of building the cane, then on to how to use that cane to cover an item of your selection.

 CLAY:
Bring scrap clay in colors that will please you or 3 to 4 colors that are pleasing to you.
White Clay
Black Clay

CLAY TOOLS:
Be sure to bring your normal travel kit with a minimum of your pasta machine, clear roller, clay blade, ceramic tile or other work surface, baby wipes.
A sharp flexible blade/tissue blade
Craft knife

OTHER SUPPLIES:
Bring something to cover.  Michael’s and Hobby Lobby both have a wide selection of wood and cardboard frames, boxes, eggs, etc. that you can cover with your one-of-a-kind kaleidoscope cane.
