The
September meeting of the Central Mississippi Polymer Clay Guild will be on
Saturday, September 19, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at the Richland Library, 370
Scarborough Street, in Richland, Mississippi. Since several of our gals will be at Galveston
Bay Retreat, Joyce decided to switch things up for the Sept. meeting
and do a "Getting Up to Speed" meeting. Newcomers can work on skills
and older members can help and get ahead on having canes for our Spring
workshop. Joyce would also like to spruce things up with a Mica Shift challenge
for the more skilled members, newbies are welcome to try too! For the challenge:
bring your favorite Mica color. Be it gold, silver, cooper, green, blue
or something you make yourself, but something you know works with Mica Shift.
Bring bendable texture sheets and stamps of your preference and your challenge
will await. Dip into your clay stash and bring 3-4 bars of Mica clays and don't
forget to bring some black. If you are low on clay, there's always a great
sale at sculpleyproducts.com. They ship all orders in two days!

Please feel free to
bring more clay and any additional colors you might want to work with.
Once we get the basics if we have time we can make extra canes for Jana's
workshop. Always having extra clay with you is a bonus, just be sure and keep
them in a cooler for the trip. We may go thru even more white, black and
translucent then 3 bars. If you plan to keep with Kato, you might just invest
in a large block of white, black and translucent. Clay's were on sale last week
at Hobby Lobby and they go on 30 % off every 3 weeks usually. If you buy
the large blocks you could always use Hobby Lobby's 40% coupons. Print
out a extra and bring a friend so that you don't have to get in line multiple
times to use the coupons.
Be sure to bring your
normal travel kit with a minimum of your pasta machine, clear roller, clay
blade, ceramic tile or other work surface, baby wipes.
