Saturday, August 18th meeting for
the Central MS Polymer Clay Guild will meet at the Pearl Library and it
will be Christmas time! That's right, we winged right past July and decided
we'd get a jump on an item you could use for those folks you might want a
little something to, but may not want to spend a fortune on. These can be made
as simple as the pictures you see or you can make an ombre blend...the idea is
to think about how you might like to have these look and bring in your supplies
and we'll make sure you go home with one finished succulent planter. This
planter cost $10 at Hobby Lobby. Do a search on google for some ideas. I'm
thinking an imprinted side might be lovely.
Supplies:
Translucent Clay
Green to color it
Pink Pigment (mica powder or paint
or pan pastel)
Twine
Cutter for shape and size to fit twine for hanging planter.
Extruder with tip for edging
Liquid Polymer clay or Bake and
Bond for joining baked and unbaked clay
Glaze if you would like it to look shiny
Extras: Anything you might like to decorate your planter with:
crystals, transfers, canes, silk screens, stencils, rubber stamps, texture
plates... you decide!
