November Meeting Notes and Supply List

The November meeting of the Central Mississippi Polymer Clay Guild will be on Saturday, November 20, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Pearl Library, Pearl, Mississippi. Mark your calendars and plan to join in the claying fun!

Remember that we as a guild have committed to making 200 Hearts for Heros which Susan will be distributing to soldiers in the Clinton-based reserve unit which will be returning from Iraq in early December. The Word file for the card that these need to be attached to is available for download from our Yahoo site.

We will also be discussing the election of officers for the 2011-12 term.

This month we're going to venture into the unknown…. using resin with our polymer clay designs! Annette will provide everything we need to try out this great innovative way to give a polished and professional look to our jewelry designs. All you need to bring is a small amount of clay in a color that you like.
Myra is going to show us how to make a hollow bead. She says to bring several colors of clay that you like to mix together and make a mirror image. We will also be using canes so bring any you have on hand. This will be a good use of some of the canes we made in the KLEW workshop too. Myra said to bring string if you want to string the beads.

The supply list for this meeting is:

• Three 2 oz. packages in colors of your choice conditioned
• One 2 oz. package of White conditioned
