The November meeting of the Central Mississippi Polymer Clay Guild will be on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Pearl Library, Pearl, Mississippi.  This month we are doing a “Each One Teach One” meeting where several of our members will be teaching a short project related to Christmas.  We’ve had three volunteers but if any of the rest of you want to join in, just send me your project description and supply list and I’ll get the information out to the members.  I’ll list each project and the supplies for it:


Debbie will teach us to sculpt a Snowman and a Santa ornament:
SUPPLY LIST:
White - 2  blocks
 Red - 1 block
 Black - 1 block
 Green - 1/4 block
 A little orange
 And some scrap clay ( not blended )
 Acrylic paint - dark brown for antique look

Shanda will teach a poinsettia cane:
SUPPLY LIST:


Red - two (2 oz) packages 
Green - 2 oz of any green to make a leaf cane
Black – 1 2 oz black
White 1 2oz white
Yellow or gold for center - 1/2 oz
Optional: 4 oz of translucent or black for packing the cane.

Arlene will teach a Banded Millifiori Christmas ornament:
SUPPLY LIST:
Assorted canes – I’ll have some to share
White – probably will have enough left from the other projects for this
1 block of color that will match your canes
Round cutters – 2 ½ inch and ½ inch
Orange ModgePodge border mold or other border mold
Extruder with small multi-hold disk
Texture plates or rubber stamps
Embossing gun
Genesis
Gold paint and an old paintbrush

Other Supplies
Be sure to bring your normal travel kit with a minimum of your pasta machine, clear roller, clay blade, ceramic tile or other work surface, baby wipes.
